Since the late 1800s, guests have gathered around white tablecloths, candlelight and classic hospitality. The atmosphere remains much the same today: timeless, calm, and slightly formal.
The kitchen draws inspiration from French cuisine, with a strong foundation in Telemark. Ingredients follow the seasons — some are grown in the hotel’s own kitchen garden, while the rest come from local producers.
Restaurant Bandak is also where the day begins, with an à la carte breakfast served in peaceful surroundings.
Each evening, the restaurant is prepared with white gloves and bow ties, creating an atmosphere that makes the evening feel a little different. Many guests choose to dress up for the occasion, while the most important thing is simply that you feel comfortable.
