Christmas at Dalen Hotel
In December, Dalen Hotel truly comes into its own, with a special atmosphere that meets you from the moment you arrive. The historic lounges are decorated for Christmas, the fireplaces are lit, and the house fills with the scent of fir trees, flickering candles and long meals in Restaurant Bandak.
Here at Dalen, the weeks before Christmas are less about busy preparations and more about the chance to step back for a while. The days move at their own quiet pace, whether you come to spend time with family and friends, gather colleagues around a festive julebord, or simply enjoy a few still days in historic surroundings.
Every evening, guests gather in the fireside lounge for piano music, stories from the hotel's history and good conversation, while the winter landscape rests quietly outside the windows. Many also combine their stay with a sauna experience by Lake Bandak, before the evening continues with unique dining experiences and unhurried hours around the table.
From 13 November to 12 December, we invite you to our traditional Christmas dinner in the hotel's dining room. We welcome both larger groups and smaller parties – and above all, we offer the feeling of being somewhere a little beyond the everyday during the final weeks of the year.
