At the edge of the hotel gardens, overlooking Lake Bandak, lies Soria Moria Sauna.
Here, architecture, nature and calm surroundings come together in an experience that invites you to slow down for a while. The sauna was designed by Feste Landskap/Arkitektur and shaped with inspiration from the surrounding landscape.
Its distinctive silhouette reflects the mountainsides rising steeply from the water, while the materials draw from local building traditions. Between the wooden shingles, small flashes of gold appear — a subtle reference to the meeting between simplicity and something more grand.
An experience close to nature
From the upper benches, the view opens towards the mountains and the water below. The heat is strongest here, while the lower levels offer a calmer warmth. For many, the experience concludes with a swim in Lake Bandak — a contrast that becomes a natural part of the sauna ritual.
The sauna may be reserved exclusively for hotel guests and is suited for smaller groups wishing to spend quiet time together.
