From late autumn through early spring, the landscape changes with the seasons while life inside the hotel continues much as it has for generations. Mornings begin with breakfast, afternoons invite you to explore Vest-Telemark, and evenings end by the fire with live piano music and storytelling.
During selected dates, overnight stays are available from NOK 1,500 per room.

Restaurant Bandak serves seasonal three- and five-course menus. We recommend reserving your table before arrival.
Dress code
Each evening, Restaurant Bandak is prepared with white gloves, bow ties and candlelight—a tradition that has been part of Dalen Hotel for generations. Many guests enjoy dressing for the occasion, though the most important thing is that you feel comfortable.
Payment
Reservations are prepaid in full at the time of booking. Prices vary depending on your selected arrival date.

- Selected stays between 20 October 2026 and 20 April 2027
- Book between 15 and 30 September 2026
- The hotel is closed 13 December 2026 – 11 February 2027, as well as every Sunday and Monday during the season

- Full prepayment is required. Reservations are non-refundable.
