Restaurant Bandak has a unique historical position and is described as one of the hotel's most important sights. The restaurant has been preserved in its original condition and should be experienced when you visit us. Our ambition is to create a unique culinary experience in our venerable restaurant. In the same way that prominent and noble people visited the hotel and enjoyed good food in the late 1800s, we want to give today's guests the opportunity to experience the same. In the true spirit of the hotel's history and originality, the menu compositions are influenced by this. Our team of chefs are constantly working to combine inspiration from elegant and sophisticated French cuisine with fresh, seasonal Norwegian ingredients. Much is harvested from our own kitchen garden, while others are sourced from local producers.
This season we serve our culinary concept based on 3- and 5-course menus. We recommend ordering the wine packages we have carefully selected to match the menus.
The restaurant is set in a classic style with white tablecloths and candlelight, and our waiters wear white gloves and cross bows. The restaurant has a dress code every evening, where we want our guests to dress smart (trousers, shirt, suit jacket etc.). It is possible to borrow a suit jacket at the hotel.
