STF Söderköping/Skeppsdockan Hostel

Hotell | Wake up in a wonderful center of culture by the Göta Canal. Watch canal boats gliding peacefully by on Sweden’s “blue band” or wander through the streets and lanes of Söderköping. Accommodation is in charming rooms in a building from 1832, rich in culture and sensitively renovated.

Skeppsdockans Hostel, Söderköping is right on the canal and is housed in the cultural building. The buildning has been lovingly renovated into a hostel in 2000. Here you closely study the canal boats in the peaceful pace slipping past or feel the history when walking through Söderköpings streets and alleyways. Pets are not allowed in the hostel.
The youth hostel is part of a former residential block alongside Skeppsdockan (the old dock). We have tried to maintain the traditional atmosphere. The building is on two floors and contains seven rooms and a communal kitchen, which also has a TV.
Rooms
The rooms in the hostel are of varying size and are spread over five four-bed rooms, a triple room and a double room. The rooms are equipped with rugged handcrafted furniture made of wood, from trees that grew along the canal. The kitchen in the house have utensils for self-catering and outside is outdoor furniture.
Services:
There are shower and toilet facilities on every floor and youth hostel guests can also make use of all the facilities in the campsite's service building which is a stone's throw away.
Close to Söderköping City
It's only a short (1 km) walk along the canal to Söderköping. Here you can also rent bicycles, and perhaps go for a long bike ride down the canal's bridle paths which have now been made into cycle paths. Skeppsdockans Camping & Vandrarhem has a sister campsite, Korskullens Camping, which is centrally situated in Söderköping and is under the same management.
